Barry has 15 years of experience in forestry and related fields. He founded Sims Forestry in 2000 to provide services to forestland owners in western Oregon. A jack of all forestry trades, Barry is experienced in inventory, planning, mapping, silviculture, sale layout and administration, as well as timber felling and logging. He received his training in Vermont where multi-species selection silviculture is the norm, and brings this perspective to his work in western Oregon with diverse clients such as Camp Fire USA – Camp Namanu, the city of Cannon Beach, and numerous family ownerships.
